Rakko's solo yakiniku: even the ones others rely on need time alone

Rakko is great at extermination jobs, and Chiikawa and friends look up to Rakko. Even Rakko has time for grilling yakiniku alone.

Next to scenes that show strength, there's time spent simply eating. My view of Rakko as only “someone amazing to Chiikawa and friends” loosens a little. Even in the time no one is watching, that person has a life.

Hearing “solo yakiniku” doesn't tell you whether someone is lonely or tired. There can be days you want to come with someone and days you want to eat alone.

Seeing someone alone, I sometimes can't help worrying that they have no friends. But being with everyone probably isn't the only thing that shows where a person belongs. How many people sit at the table can't decide whether a life is full.

When we see someone dependable, we expect them to handle things next time too. Within that expectation, even a meal starts to look like “a break to work hard again.” But is that the only reason to eat?

It should be fine to eat alone without explaining that it's for helping someone. If I like someone dependable, I want to look at them including the time when they have no role to play.
