Setting out what you made yourself
An Armor-san lays out pajamas in many colors on a mat and sells them as a new line. The Armor-san puts up price tags, customers gather, and everything sells out.
The maker decides both where to sell and the price. Seeing how nervous the Armor-san is until things sell, the worry of being left with unsold stock seems to be carried by the maker, too.
Paying to be taken care of
Kurimanju goes into a head-washing shop carrying a bag of money and gets their head washed. The shop's sign advertises a free treat of chilled gyuhi.
It's a shop where you buy care rather than things. Even trying to draw customers with a freebie looks just like a small shop in town.
Some people work in shops
At Rou, Shisa mishears an order and apologizes. On a break, Shisa tells a senior coworker about staying up late recently studying about alcohol.
Working at Rou apparently requires a hard qualification.
People who open shops, people who work there, and customers. In the world of Chiikawa, besides getting work from the counter, these kinds of business sit side by side. Who owns the shop isn't shown, but you can see workers trying to fit in with the shop through qualifications and study.
