Apparently, the anime orders its episodes with calm, just-eating ones in between so that it isn't all harsh stories one after another.
With the eyes that were waiting for the next development, now we watch a meal. We readers get to take a breather too.
Does rest need results, too?
With work and exams, whether you succeeded weighs on you. That's why time you can watch without keeping score is welcome. Meals surely don't have to be a reward only for those who worked hard.
Having one fun meal is different from always being able to eat enough. How food is obtained is something I want to check in other scenes too.

Eating without anyone rushing you. I think that not just money but also time whose use you can decide yourself is part of a rich life.
