Half
On Obsidian's pricing page of 5 March 2024, Sync cost $8 per user per month billed annually.
On 4 April it cost $4. Billed monthly, $10 became $5.
Exactly half. And the description of what you get did not change by a single character.

Sync fell. Publish did not move.
On both dates the four lines under Sync read "Sync notes across devices", "End-to-end encryption", "Version history" and "Priority email support" — identical as strings. Nothing was taken out.
The opposite of what this site usually finds
What gets written up here is mostly the same manoeuvre: hold the price, shrink the contents. Plausible kept $9 and went from ten sites to one. Oh Dear renamed every plan and nearly doubled what a given number of sites costs.
This is that in reverse. The price fell and nothing was removed.
Collecting only the losses and ignoring the gains would make this cat a place to file complaints. Same method, same write-up.
What could not be established
The pricing page carries no figures for storage or version-history retention. It carried none on either date.
So this method cannot rule out that something unlisted changed at the same time. What it establishes is narrower: within what the pricing page states, nothing was reduced.
The exact date of the change can only be placed between the two snapshots.
Price cuts leave no trace either
The current pricing page does not mention that Sync once cost $8. There is no reason it would.
By the same logic that keeps a price rise off the page, a price cut stays off it too. Having been expensive is not something the company that lowered the price wants to advertise.
Someone who looked in March 2024, decided it was too much and moved on may still be sitting on that decision. Nobody is going to tell them it halved.
